Parkerfest Dogwalk
Sunday, September 17, 2006
Riverside Park
Parkerfest is an annual event that started in 1999. Each Parkerfest has been unique and different. We celebrate the life of Dorothy Parker with a speakeasy night, walking tour, Round Table lunch, plays and quips. The mood of the weekend is more like a birthday party than a serious "literary" event.
Our eighth annual Parkerfest is Sept. 15-17. The tentative schedule:
Friday, Sept. 15, 6-8 p.m. -- Happy Hour at the Algonquin Hotel
Saturday, Sept. 16, Noon-2 p.m. -- Walking Tour at the Algonquin Hotel; Lunch at the Round Table
Saturday, Sept. 16, 8 p.m. -- Dorothy Parker Bathtub Gin Ball, The Woolworth Building
Sunday, Sept. 17, 2 p.m. -- Dorothy Parker Dog Walk, Riverside Park
More details TBD. Subscribe to the newsletter for updates and ticket info.
